OFFSITE with Sight Unseen

BZIPPY & CO, Bari Ziperstein’s design line, will be participating in Sight Unseen’s OFFSITE in NYC May 13 – 16, 2016.

Bari Ziperstein has a multidisciplinary practice of fine art, public art and a design line under BZIPPY & CO. Born in Chicago, she was raised by design collectors and architecture enthusiasts who traveled just to find the ideal Bakelite Radio or 60s ceramic cookie jar. The BZIPPY home goods and jewelry lines are inspired by the rich ceramic history of Southern California including the Funk Movement, Brutalist Architecture, Finnish patterns, and Joshua Tree National Park.

For the second year in a row, BZIPPY will share a booth with Brendan Sowersby of 100xbtr. The booth will have paired vignettes with over 25 new ceramic wares of new large-scale terra cotta vessels, Circle Top Vases and new terra-cotta rope vessels displayed both on the floor and on several new wood side tables. 100xbtr with display a pair of paperstone DB black leather cushioned chairs, a fully upholstered chair and a new Stoolback chair in black dye and ash. Both lines inform and enhance each other, providing a dynamic new dialogue in California Design yet to be seen in NYC.
